  F A Q s

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about the GTP.

Question:
To participate, do I have to do all of the projects, or can I participate in some of them?

Answer: You can choose to participate in which ever projects you wish. We coordinate about four projects each year, and you can participate in as many as you wish.

Question:
Do I need access to many computers in order to participate in the GTP, or will having only one connection in my class do?

Answer: Most of the teachers who have participated in the GTP have only had ONE computer and one access point in the classroom. Many do the entire project with just one computer. Of course you can do more with the resources of the Internet if you have more connections.

Question:Do I need the GTP Text in order to participate?

Answer: We recommend it now that it has been published. The book will help you implement the GTP, which we call a Web-assisted program and enable you to more readily participate in this network science program.

Question: What ages of students do you recommend to participate in the project.

Anwer: We have had the most success with middle and high school students in the GTP. Students in these grades from Argentina, Australia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Ukrane, and the United States have participated in the project.
