The Global Thinking Project began as an exchange program between professional teachers and researchers from the United States and Russia. As early as 1984, U.S. and Russian educators collaborated on projects that grew into the GTP. In the late 1980s, School-Gymnasium 710, Moscow, Russia and Dunwoody High School, Dunwoody, Georgia created a GTP-student exchange program funded by the families of the students exchanged. In 1995, the GTP received the first of three grants from the United States Information Agency that support the GTP---Georgia/Russia Exchange Project.

American and Russian students from Ridgeland High School, Rossville, Georgia, and Moscow School 91 discuss a presentation they are to make to more than 100 students and teachers gathered at a GTP Environmental Summit which was held at the Simposonwood Conference Center in Norcross, Georgia.

Below are a series of links that will provide information about the GTP-Georgia/Russia Exchanges.
