Invitation

Hurricanes are very powerful storms that originate as tropical depressions, and then grow to become storms that we call hurricanes (sustained winds of at least 75 miles/hour. They can cause enormous damage. Click on each of the two ariel photographs of Biloxi, Mississippi, a Gulf Coast city as shown here before (April 2005) and after (August 29, 2005) Hurricane Katrina passed over the city. What are some of the landmarks that you can definately identify (roads, buildings, vegetation, boats) that have changed? How have they changed as a result of Katrina? Make a list.
